Log-house planks made from spruce, larch,
pine and Douglas fir
Every single log-house plank in Best-of-Wood quality passes several selection tests during its production. The first one even before it reached the sawmill, when it comes to selecting the right round timber. This, and the special processing later on, make it probably the best quality log-house plank in the world. In practice, the finishing process ranges from heartwood-free cuts, the use of edge jointing, right through to a perfectly planed surface to profile board level. Or to put it another way: our attention to detail makes all the difference, which is also objectively confirmed by the CE mark.
New: log-house plank with a 280 mm thick wall
Since the new building regulations are becoming increasingly stricter, innovations are also needed for buildings with a solid wood envelope. Which is why Weinberger now supplies log-house planks with a 280 mm thick wall. These satisfy the new building regulations without any additional insulation, so the solid log wall remains visible on both the outside and inside. It goes without saying that we can also guarantee that this new product complies with our Best-of-Wood standard with respect to planing accuracy, edge jointing and the use of different types of wood.
