With Wolfgang Thurner, the internationally active timber company has taken an important step toward the future. The 42-year-old industrial engineer has been responsible for all sales and the further professionalisation of customer relationship management since July 1.

The new arrival succeeds Johann Josef Weinberger, who will focus on strategic consulting tasks within the family business in the future. As Managing Director Johann Alfred Weinberger says: “As Sales Manager, Wolfgang Thurner will further strengthen our relationships with our customers, so that we can respond much more quickly and effectively to their wishes and requirements. What’s more, Mr. Thurner will be in charge of sales in France.”

For his challenging role, the native of Kötschach-Mauthen can draw on many years of experience in management positions, both in his family business at Holz-Thurner and later at the corporate level at Mayr-Melnhof Holz and the Ziegler Group. Wolfgang Thurner was enthusiastic about his new work even before taking up the position: “The name Weinberger ‘Best of Holz’ has accompanied me throughout my entire professional life. I am therefore all the more delighted to now be part of this highly innovative company.”
