Building regulations are becoming increasingly stricter and also specify new standards for insulating outside walls, amongst other things. Since these new regulations naturally apply for buildings with a solid wood envelope, Weinberger now presents the log-house plank with a 280 mm thick wall.

This new log-house plank lets you comply with the new building regulations without any additional insulation, films etc., so the solid log wall remains visible on both the outside and inside. The manufacture of this new innovative product called for some thorough development work in the preliminary stages and extensive upgrades to the special machines so as to enable the processing of such large cross-sections. As a result, Weinberger is now able to guarantee that the new log-house plank with a 280 mm thick wall complies with its Best-of-Wood standard with respect to planing accuracy and edge jointing too, and that the plank can be made from different types of wood.
