Good news at Weinberger: After the completion of its new warehouse in Abtenau there is now winter-felled timber available on close to 365 days a year. What’s more, energy supplier Salzburg AG has officially confirmed to Weinberger that the Abtenau facility runs exclusively on green electricity.
Thanks to its expanded warehouse capacity in Abtenau Weinberger is now in a position to supply its customers with winter-felled timber of consistently high quality almost all year round. Timber harvested during sap-rest periods convinces by a number of properties. For example, it is less prone to shrinkage and warpage and more resistant to crack formation and pest infestation.
Electricity 100 % from renewable energy resources
Another success of the sustainability strategy consistently pursued by Weinberger over the years has been the award of a green electricity certificate from its power supplier Salzburg AG confirming that its Abtenau facility runs 100% on electricity from renewable energy resources.
